This document provides users of the REF submission system with guidance on how to input and manage data. This has been updated to reflect changes made to the system following the submission system update in April 2013. The user guide will be updated when we make further scheduled updates to the system.

This document lists all validation rules that are enforced when importing data into the REF 2014 submission system either using the web user interface or the API.  The field names used are as listed in the 'Data requirements for REF import files'.
